Subscription Box Services

I wanted to make a blog post since I get a lot of subscription boxes per month.  I also do get some that come during the Spring, summer, fall and winter. I thought I would give you my thoughts on each one, and you can decide if any of these are for you,
I do get a lot of questions about what services I like and what I think are a great deal. So here is my run down on them :)

Join Ipsy! $10.00 a month. Awesome products. You can't go wrong with the price. You do get a mix of makeup, hair, and skincare. You do take a quiz but I have found that you don't always get the colors you want. However I do like Ipsy. Some months are great and some are ehhh. Overall a great deal and I have had it for 2-3 yrs now.

Want to try makeup to jewelry to intimates? then check out wantable! This service is more expensive at $36.00 a month. However I think its more custom. You do get the colors you request and the products. The intimate box has 4 pieces each month for $36.00. You pick the stuff you like, and they send you a box of goodies. There is a jewelry box for $36.00 as well I believe. I do not have that one, but I have seen cute stuff in those boxes. PLUS if you do not like a box, send the whole thing back for a refund. You can't take tags off, or use the products if you want to return them.

Boxy Charm is $21.00 per month. I LOVVVEEEE this box. No quiz. But I have liked every box I have gotten over the last 1-2 yrs that I have received it. All full size products! Can't say enough good things about this box.

No sign up fee- Where I find great deals on high end makeup and cool
decorating pieces. If you like to get good deals on name brand stuff then you will like this site. I have bought makeup off the site and self tanners. Tarte, Urban decay, Josie maran, Tarina Tarentino, and a ton of other high end makeup is on there. Plus they have unique decorating pieces.  Designer clothes, handbags and shoes! and pretty much everything you can think of and furniture.

You get money back on all purchases! sweet right :) I have made about $300 back on my purchases. No strings attached. You just go onto the ebates website, or download the little ebates plug in. And you click it before you shop and then it activates your rebates. Sephora has offered up to 8-10% back in rebates on purchases. I love it.

Join glossy box! for fun new beauty items $21.00 per month. This is like the other beauty boxes. You do get a mix of items. It is not my #1 lol but I have received some good stuff.

Join Fab Fit Fun! I love it. Fitness/health/beauty geared! This has a huge variety. It comes during the seasons and is $38.00. 4 times a year the box will ship out. It has food, to fitness to beauty in each box.

Clear Proof Acne System from Mary Kay

I received the clear proof system from Influenster for a review. Im so happy that I did.

I have been using this now for about 3 weeks. Ever since I started it my skin has gotten better. I was breaking out pretty bad, then in 1 week things started to clear up! Which I was super happy about.
I was worried it would dry my skin out but it did not. It left my skin feeling clean and felt great.

This is a 4 step process.

• Gel cleanser
• Toner
• Moisturize
• Treatment

All of the products have salicylic acid acid and the treatment has the benzyl peroxide.
I applied all the products morning and night. I did not have to use the treatment with the benzyl peroxide since I finally stopped breaking out! Which is pretty awesome! So it worked great for me. I would buy this with my own money to keep seeing the current results.

Lorac mega pro

I ordered this baby as soon as it came out. The lorac site was crashing for hours when it finally launched. I sat in checkout for prob 20 mintues. Then finally it went through. 

When it arrived from ups I was so excited. I ripped into the box and took this beauty out. I can tell you the price is well worth it. 

The colors are sooo creamy and sooo pigmented. Perfect amount of matte and shimmer shades. Great shade selection as well. 

Just a few shades swatched. Im in love with this palette. 

Haul time

I love shopping at tjmaxx and home goods! But i also found great halloween stuff at michaels. Here are a few of my finds.

Who can resist ulta! I sure can not lol.  I like to browse the "whats new" section on ulta online. I found some goodies to give a try. 

First: tarte exotic eyes 

Bare minerals buttercream in forbidden nude

Eos coconut balm

Body shop born lippy (shimmery clear balm)

Loreal gloss in nude ballet( not in picture) 

The eos is not super moisturizing :( smells ok. 

The body shop balm is moisturizing. It does smell perfumy. 

The bare minerals gloss is super pretty and not sticky. 

The tarte palette is gorgeous! So worth it.

Wantable intimate box

I have been giving this subscription box a try for a few months. My 1st box was blah. The 2nd was good. And the 3rd one I have gotten so far is the best. Prob due to the fact that i got pink pieces ! Lol anything will win me over with pink colors. 

Pros:

You pick the colors and styles you like

You tell them what you do not like

Fun new pieces to try

Con:

It is $36 a month. However you get 3-4 items each time. So the box pays for itself. 

You don't pick out what you receive. More of a surprise. 

Overall this is a unique service and pretty cool. If you want to give it a try I say go for it.

Covergirl 3 in 1 foundation

What can I say about this foundation other then it is amazing! I have bought this over and over again. It works well with my skin and does not break me out. If you have not tried it go grab it. 

Pros:

Great coverage. Medium to full

Inexpensive

Sold everywhere

Wide range of colors to choose from

Cons:

You might get addicted lol. Nothing bad I can say about this foundation.

 

Estee lauder Crystal baby Illuminatig powder

So I was unlucky and missed out on Estee Lauder heat wave when it came out.  Boooo ! But I did manage to grab this. It was sold out everywhere but I did find it on Nordstroms website! Score for me!

This is my first Estee Lauder purchase. Im so happy I got it. Now onto the details. 

Pros:

It is gorgeous!

Smooth

Easy to blend

Buttery

Package is stunning

Cons:

Pricey $40.00

Sells out fast

Kat Von D makeup remover wipes

In the meantime. I got this sample from sephora. I tried them out last night. The first thing i noticed was how wet the wipe was. More of a soapy feeling. Which im not a fan of. It removed some makeup but not well enough. 

 I plan to stick to my neutrogena wipes. Good price and works great. 

I give these wipes a thumbs down. Not worth the price. 

First impression. Loreal visible lift blur foundation

What can I say. I had high hopes for this foundation. It applies so smooth and silky. However the coverage is not very good. It almost looked splotchy in some areas. I did have to do 2 coats of this. In the end it made me oily when im combination to dry skin. So for me this did not work 😞 I had to use a mud mask to clear my pores. It totally clogged my pores around my nose area. 

Spring voxbox from influenster

I just got my spring vox box from influenster. All products were sent to me i did not pay for them.

I love the box. Everything a girl needs! Here Are the goodies i got. If you want to try the mascara and get a  #RetroGlam look then try the mascara. I do love it. It did not clump at all. Nice full lashes.

Beauty blender dupe ??

So I thought I would search for a beauty blender dupe. I saw this beauty sponge at forever 21. It looked cute. Looked springy lol. I will find anyway to make me feel like winter is leaving. 

Anyway this cost me $3.50. I had high hopes. My hopes went away.  

As soon as I took it out of the package it felt hard. I then got it wet and it stayed the same size as it was when it was dry. It did not soften up at all. 

It was a waste of $3.50 👎. But it was worth a try. 

Keep buying those beauty blenders. But if you do want a dupe. Buy the real techniques sponge. I would say that is more of a dupe. 

February Boxy Charm

So I have gotten this box from just about the start of when they came out. Maybe the 2nd month in. So I think it has been a year or pretty close to a year. I have always been pretty happy with my boxes. Here is the breakdown.

Pros:

• Full size products
• Great price $21.00 a month
• You get about 5 products. Some months they have added extras. 

Cons:

• Sometimes it might be a last season product
• You do not take a quiz. So the box is not tailored to you.
